Missing files


i'm a n00b to Linux and when i try and install this program it says i'm missing 2 files they are

ld.s0.1
libasound.so.2

does anyone know where to get them i'm using Red Hat 9

libasound comes with usually with alsa-devel package
ld.so is a basic library, so you probably have it, but under a differenet name. Look into your /lib directory. You should have ld-*.so file. Create a symlink to it with name 'ld.so.1' or just copy it with a different name.

Goto rpm.pbone.net and search for those files.
Choose the first option "Search for rpms which contain given file name (1) e.g. libhistory.so"
