Mirc

The only problem im having with linux, and being a newbie,, :( is that i tend to use programs like mirc in windows with an addon called xdcc klipper , that will attempt to continue file transfers after failed attempts. i dont see such features in xchat, also mircs ability to add features to IE so clicking the files triggered mirc to load and fetch the files im attempting to get.. When I searh for plugins for xchat i come up empty handed.. I was able to add an irc feature to opera to trigger xchat, but it appears to only be going to room and not fetching the file.

try running mIRC via winex
AFAIK: plug-ins like this for xchat do not exist
maybe write K.M.-Bey and ask him to write a linux version of mIRC?

mIRC is an abomination of IRC, violating more than
one standard, and shouldn't be used at all ... ;)

Edit: I don't know whether xchat supports resume,
but http://www.kvirc.net/?id=features does....

Cheers,
Tink
