Mint Sound Issues

I want to be able to control all my sound from my volume control on my keyboard. However, when I alter the volume, it changes (Barts HDMI Audio [Radeon HD 6800 Series] Digital Stereo (HDMI)), but the sound is not being played from there. Instead it is being played from a separate, specific device (ex: Amarok, VLC).

So, how do I get everything to play under that default HDMI device? Thanks.

I apologize, I figured out as soon as I posted this. Had to switch default to Built-In Audio Analog Stereo.
