Mint 11 wireless was ok, now no connection, wireless labels all grayed out (SOLVED)
A few months ago a 'friend' install linuxMint 11 on my computer. Everything worked great. Weeks later I could not connect, all the wireless lables were grayed out. My friend is very good with computers/linux but this one had him stumped. He re-installed linux (katya) and I'm back in buisness. However, again a few weeks later, no connection, wireless labels all grayed out. I hate to keep brothering my friend and hoped to cure this myself. Originally had winXp, 32bit installed.
Anyone willing to point me in the right direction? Remember, I am a true Newbie. The only thing I now about versions is the '11'. I'm not even sure what my wireless card is, or even how to find out. So how about a gentle clue, maybe I can do this myself. I was reminded to check the wireless button. Daaa, I feel kind of stupid, that was the problem... |
