Question minimum config for sendmail

Hi,

I just installed RedHat 7.2 with all packages including SendMail 8.11.6. I know it is not the latest releases, but it should be enough to start...

Some configuration files are provided. I didn't change anything, since I don't need (for now) to use what is listed as advanced feature. SendMail is running.

When I send a message, I see in the log that it is rejected by the recipient's provider's relay. I understand that "localhost" is not a valid domain for it, but I have no domain name for my trial system.

Should I have one, or pick one, to sendmail on the net ? I don't remember that RedHat installation asked me to provide a domain name during installation.

Or, what should I change in the configuration to send succesfully.

Thanks for help.
