Exclamation Minimal Gnome Shell installation

I'd like to do the most lightweight Kernel 3.2(previous ones gave me problems) + Gnome Shell installation.

With Gnome 2.X I used to use Ubuntu mini CD and then apt-get install gnome-core gdm xorg. Doing that, I was able to have a minimal desktop where I could install what I wanted.

Now with Gnome shell the only options are Linux Mint, Fedora or Opensuse, but they have too many useless programs in their default installation...

Pick up Debian net install or buisness card install: 100 or 60Mb ISO download then use apt-get/aptitude to get the desktop of your liking, to make things even easier, grab debian post install scripts from www.smxi.org you'll have minimal debian system up and running within an hour.

Will Debian unstable have the latest Gnome shell in her PPA?

I'm not an expert, and i really do not know the exact packeges I need in order to run the system.

With apt-get install gnome-core gdm xorg I was able to have the DE with nothing inside (exept terminal, gedit and other basic stuff), and then, with synaptic, I could add what Iwanted.
Now with Gnome shell I don't know how to install that basic desktop!

Maybe the correct question should be:
What is the Gnome Shell command for Gnome 2.x apt-get install gnome-core gdm xorg?
