Migration of space from /home to root
 

Hi,

Please help me on this.

While installing debian, the administrator provide only 250MB to root and 60 Gb to /home in my machine. when i provide apt-get install command it shows no space.

Now i need to migrate 35GB from /home to root and need to create LVM for another 15Gb from /home. pl help me out in these operation by providing the procedures. /home is of ext3 filesystem

from the looks it seems that u have made hard partitions, if thats the case then reinstalling seems to be the only solution left.

can u attach the output of df -h, for further review
