Smile Midnight Commander, mc, change color from shell depending on file extension...


How do i change the color for .pdf files ?

Can i do this from the shell without
changing the configuration files ?

mc --colors doc:white,black:

You can set an alias in your user profile

LS_COLORS='*.pdf=01;31:*.whatever=32:*.something_else=01;35:'

Red is 31
