Hello Guys,

I'm using CentOs 6.2 and i have installed Microsoft Office through Wine and it's working properly but when i open any Word Or Excel file from my Samba Share that share is based on Ubuntu Server it doesn't open my file and give me error some thing like the above mention Picture.

I do have OpenOffice Installed along with Microsoft Office.

Kindly let me know that what is the actual problem and why i'm unable to open any file from Samba Sharing.

The error is very clear...the file/path doesn't exist. Bear in mind that unless you go into Wine and map that Z drive to a location in Linux, you won't actually HAVE a Z drive to open, hence the error. If you're an RHCE, you should be familiar with how to configure network drives, right?

If you have OpenOffice, use it....MS Office on Wine is rather pointless if you've got OpenOffice.

I'm going to take a total WAG at this and suggest that the error message doesn't show the filename of the file that you want to open, and when you can look into why that would be, you'll be a lot closer to the answer.

I gave you a link to the Wine setup page; read it. Pay particular attention to the part where you configure the drives.

You say you're an RHCE, but can't follow that document?? And again, you really should be using OpenOffice instead of MS Office.
