Microphone not loud enough on Ubuntu 6.10
I've set the microphone volume to maximum, switched on the mic boost option, and have to speak pretty loudly on my microphone in order to just hear my voice.
When I use the same options in Windows i.e. increase the mic volume and switch on the mic boost, it is satisfactorily audible. Any suggestions on how to increase the sensitivity of my microphone on Ubuntu? EDIT: NEVER MIND |
What application are you using the microphone with? Most have their own 'input volume' controls. Have you checked that in addition to Gnome's volume controls?

I used the Sound Recorder in Ubuntu 6.10

Well I don't use Ubuntu or Gnome so I can't tell you anything specific there.
