Hello,

I have been using Debian since the last one year. My prior experience with linux is a bit of Red Hat 9 and Ubuntu. I am satisfied with Debian on the whole. I have not been able to get the microphone detected. The onboard audio is AD1986.... I have not been able to install tapioca as well.

Secondly, when I logout or switch user, the mouse pointer disappears. So, every time I need to switch user or logout, I am forced to restart the PC. The mouse pointer does not disappear when I logout from a remote login.

Any suggestions are welcome.
