Hello, need some help to figure out this mystery. I used Ubuntu before had same problem. Currently I use Mepis. Logged in as a root. Pluged in my Usb thumb drive, windows pops up and showing file on the drive. I copy some logs files or folders to thumb drive, I removing thumb drive, plug it back in and files that I have just copied are not there. What is going on? Did files get deleted during unplug of the thumb drive?
Some files copied but after pluged back in i see files on the usb drive but with 0k in the size. Please explain.
We don't know that. It's your first post so we don't know how familiar you are with your hardware and/or Linux.
Congrats with solving your problem.
Thanks. I am Network admin, web designer and programmer VB6/asp, strong knowledge of hardware and Windows
