Any reason why you have Intel MEI (HECI) enabled?

There's really no need for the Management Engine Interface. Some people claim it's bad; I don't really care. But it isn't necessary. You could blacklist it. Look at https://www.kernel.org/doc/Documenta...es/mei/mei.txt. As you can see, you don't really need it on a standard desktop system.
