mediaplayer cd-music printer

I use Slackware 9.0 and have downloaded the realplayer for linux but when I try to use it, it says that the application is already in use.

I cant play Cd-music on my cdplayer either as user or root, it just refuses to start.

I can mount it when the disc contains data files but not when it contains music files.

I have tried to install a hp desk-jet connected to the printerport, but it wont print. It sends the document my my printer wont react. I have installed it in many ways but no success.
Iīm figuring that it can be the printer port that isīnt enabled. Any suggestions?
