Media Player installing Help!

Hi, i have Suse 10.1 Linux and i want to install a complete media player like vlc or mplayer. I have both this in rpm's but when i try to install with yast i get that many other packages are missing (that needed for installing this, dependancies). Now i know that somehow that necessary packages can be downloaded and installed automaticly during the install but i don't know how to do it. Can anybody give a hand please? Thank!

have you had a look here ?

Have you modified your repositories list ? i.e. where the distro knows to look to see what packages are available, because I should think that all the dependencies would be available at the repositories/mirrors or even on the install CD(s)/DVD

regards

John

I personally prefer Kaffeine. I wrote a little howto that can make it easier to install packages on Suse (including kaffeine, mplayer etc).
