MDV 06 Free not seeing accurate partition sizes

I have been streamlining my computer, and as i loose the need for a FAT32 partition, i figured i'd let my /home directory have it.

In order to do this, i booted into a SuSE 9.2 LiveCD to remove the FAT32 partition, and extend the ext3 home partition to take it's space.

Now, the GUI partition manager, and df under command line give me different sizes:

and i can only write as if df is correct - so i've not gained any space.

Any ideas what went wrong, and, more importantly, how i can fix it?

Oooh. Fixed it.

Ended my user session (which was making /home busy) and logged into gui as root to see if i could edit the partition size.

I unmounted it to have a look at it, then re-mounted to back it up and it was seeing the full 178G.
