Ok now...Got a really odd problem here....I installed Red Hat 9.0 the other day, and for some reason, I am unable to boot without a boot disk...It is like the MBR is not there...What is going on here?...I am brand new to the Linux community, just trying to get a start...
A little more info would help;
- only RH9 on this machine ???
- does the machine boot at all ???
- what happens when you boot (messages, XP boots, whatever)
Yes, I installed both grub and lilo trying to get it to work, but it would not...So what I did is pull another drive out and check it...Dead also...Sothing destroyed a MB of mine and destroyed 2 HDs I had...So I am trying to rectify that problem now...Come to find out it was the drives, not the software
