Question mblaze installation on ubentu 10.4

guys am a newbie to linux and am using ubentu 10.4 with windows 7 dual booted.recently i buyed a mts mblaze and it had its linux installation program in it but it is ".gz.tar" and i thing it cannot install on ubentu pls help me how can i install my mblaze. am a newbie so pls help me by step by step answer pls unless i dont under stand what are u saying.
