Max Swap


How big can you make the swap?

About 16 TeraBytes on an ext3 filesystem I believe?

Well, just like any swap file, it's not nearly as fast as Ram. But yes, it does. Anything that spills over the RAM will use Swap. You usually don't need much though, unless you are running a skimpy amount of RAM which is rare now-a-days since RAM is basically free when compared to what it used to cost.
