Hi mithz and welcome to LQ.

Please realize that your question is very incomplete and asks for maximum input showing little effort of your part.

Per pan64's point, there is information available using a web search.

What will give you some better feedback about this topic would be if you were to share your thoughts within your question about this topic. Illustrate what you think, and discuss why. Cite examples showing the results of searching you've performed on the web where you've found evidence or statements supporting one form of direction over another.

Otherwise, then understand that all you've done is post the equivalent of a homework question, or fired off a quick one phrase question, which is rather impolite to fellow LQ members.

If you wish to review more about how to ask more effective questions, please see the links under the LQ Site FAQ

Best Regards, and once again, Welcome to the LQ forums! We do not wish to have your experience be poor, however it is also a shared experience with all volunteer members, therefore please be considerate, and I'm sure similar consideration will be returned in kind.

Sounds like a homework question to me.

A simple search for "Linux boot sequence" will reveal good summaries like this one.
