Mandriva URPMI problem

This is the second time I have been stuck at this place while installing/conifguring a linux distro. I am to the point where I am setting up my server (Mandriva 2006 Free) and trying to configure URPMI. I am using the command:
urpmi.addmedia --update updates with media_info/

thats one of my commands I also have one for main and contrib. Anyway, I always get unable to update medium. And it wont let me run it. For example this time it says:

..retrieveing failed: curl: (6) Couldn't resolve host ''

The host is up. I have looked through my ifcfg-eth0 file and everything looks fine. I dont know what else to try. Any help would be appreciated.
