Mandriva Spring 2007 DVD won't boot
Hi all,
I'm facing some problem with the Mandriva 2007 DVD and I would really appreciate your input on this. I got the DVD ISO file downloaded via torrents from Mandriva's web page.I burned the ISO file with K3B by using the "Burn DVD ISO Image..." Then the problem is that I can't boot my PC with this DVD :( I tried the DVD on another machine, yet I faced the same problem. The DVD seems to be working fine as I can access its content with my old OS (Debian). There are the i586 folder, and the release-notes.txt file on the root of the DVD, which I presume is fine. But, the booting problem is just a pain. I have also checked my BIOS, and yes it is configured to boot from my DVD player first. I also tried to disable all other booting options except the DVD. But, then my system gave a booting failure message :P Has anyone faced a similar problem before? If so, how did you manage to overcome it? One more thing to add, I have tried different brands of DVDs of both + and - types, yet I still have the same problem. Thank you all for your help Linuxlainen |
Did you check the integrity of the download before burning it to DVD?

Apparantly I had a problem with the downloaded file. I managed to download the distrop. from another site and it is working just fine now. Linuxlainen |
