Mandriva modem problem
 
I have ambient md5628d-l-b modem. Please help me how to install drivers on Mabdriva Linux 2008

This modem is not supported by Mandriva. There is legacy driver

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...inux*&lang=eng

but this release supports only 2.4.x kernels.

Is there any way to solve this issue or I have to move to Fedora or something else. Also tell me that which linux version is better.
