Mandriva LiveCD Install
I'm trying to install Mandriva through the liveCD.....
When booting from the CD it loads up Mandriva OS but thats not what I want. I want to install it to the harddisk. How do I go about doing this? I was under the (perhaps naive) impression (although I had managed to install Madrake 10 very easily previously) that all I needed to do was boot from the cd and follow the install steps/instructions. However never does any hint of an install occur. I'm very bewildered.....am I using the wrong CD? eek if I am!....any advice?
Thanks in advance...

I don't think you can install Mandriva through the Live CD. Download the installation discs from the Mandriva website.

Hi, thanks for that but unfortunately I cannot even see the livecd-install icon as described in the very first step of that tutorial which kinda scuppers me.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks....

Did you log in as guest? You will not see the icons if you log as root.

Install Mandriva from LiveCD
After you've booted from LiveCD, just "open" the LiveCD icon on your desktop to start the installation process.
