Mandriva Gnome and ppp???

I installed the Mandriva one Gnome and im trying to configure my modem to work. I have the modem working great in ubuntu. I have not been able to find a ppp client in the gnome edition of 2008. the kde version had kppp but does the gnome have anything? I was hoping for wvdial. is there a meta package for wvdial anyplace?

please keep in mind that i dont have any connection in mandriva, so using the repos is not an option.

thanks!!
