Mandrakeonline won't work!

I want to have my system updated for security. So i try this Mandrakeonline. I sign up for it, but everytime I click "check updates" it says "not available". Why is this i dont know, because i downloaded it a week ago and it was probably on the ftp site for weeks, so wouldnt there be necessary updates?

The place to go for security & program updates is:
start menu -> system -> configuration -> configure your computer.
Enter your root password and the MCC opens. Go to Software Management -> Updates and follow the wizards there for updating your system.
You don't need to 'sign up' for anything, and you don't need to surf to a website to get the latest updates.

To get all the updates for the system, follow the instructions here and choose a "source" for everything including jpackage and plf (plf packages are usually more recent/up to date than genuine mandrake ones).

The mandrake online thing, I tried it and it kept telling me that it had to have "webmin" installed.

which I did, but haven't got round to trying it yet

I've just tried the "online administration" facility in the mandrake control centre (configure my computer), and I can open and run the "local adminstration" facility, it gives you the "webmin" control panel for configuring stuff (try googling for webmin and if I remember correctly shows you what the control panel look's like).

The remote adminstration facility seem's to want to have an address/url/ip or something to connect.
