Mandrake10 cd's wont boot????
New to Mandrake10.......after reinstalling Winduhs XP,my Linux CD's do not boot on start up. Before I redid Winduhs everything worked perfect.
Now when I try booting the install cd's they fail to boot.I've tried making a boot disk with rawwritewin and rawrite in dos, none of them seem to work no matter what is done. HOW can I get this to work after reinstalling Winduhs XP. I am trying to install Mandrake 10 on a seperate h/d,before I had LINUX and winduhs on same h/d,would this make a difference???? Tryin' to gits away frum WINDUHS............ THANX |
Do you have a CD drive set up as a boot device before hard disk in your BIOS?

Mandrake10..........???????????
I've had cdroms setup in cmos, I've tried disk2 and disk3,but nuttin' werks. I've even d/l'ed acopy of "cdrom.img" but found out it was a newer version.
I'm doing this all with "Mandrake 10 Community Edition" if that helps. "LOST WITH A MAP" |
Did you check md5sum for the iso images you downloaded?
If the sum was ok, then try to burn another CD#1 and try to boot it. If the sum wasn't correct then you have to download the images again. |
