Mandrake Linux cannot read CD-ROMS.

Yo!

Just started with Mandrake Linux. It seems that it cannot read my CDROMS which are made with Windows using Nero and EasyCD creator tograther. I had no problems with Redhat with these CD's.

Funny - Mandrake cannot read installation disk after it is installed...but it had no problems while installing itself from the same CD! :-)

So... please tell what to do?

What happens when you try to read the CDs? Are you having any problems getting them mounted, or is it just problems after they are mounted? What errors do you see?

Sometimes I've gotten "I/O errors" and the like while trying to read some CDs created in Windows. I always figured it was some non-standard junk that my Windows CD-writing software put on them, but if they work in RedHat but not Mandrake, then it's probably something else...

Yes. Precisely this: I/O errors.

The CD is mounted. If I mount it says: allready mounted.

" sorry cannot open this folder" says nautilus.

Your reply was quick! :-)
