Mandrake installation Problem
several month ago i downloaded mandrake 9.1 burnt it on CD and installed it fine, but sadly took it off
now i try to reinstall it, it goes through fine no problems untill i reboot, which then a load of "01" appear in the middle of the screen and when i hit a key the system reboots and it hapens again the only difference is that i have a 2nd hdd (which is now the primary) and mandrake is installed on the secondary hdd and i installed a NIC which mandrake picks up fine any ideas why? |
Your bootloader is not configured right. I've had nothing but grief running with Windows on the first drive and Linux on the second, so I swapped 'em. My preferred installation now. Makes life easier. To boot to your Windows, you can enter the stanza:
Code:
other=/dev/hdb1 That said, I mean swap your drives and install LILO to the Linux MBR. You'll lose your grief. |
lol thats what my m8 told me to doand it worked like a charm
