Mandrake Install Problems

I have Mandrake 7.2, yea its old but dont feel like spending months downloading new one. The cd is scratched somehow and now a few of the files are messed up. I downloaded those files off the net and put all the files off the mandrake cd onto my harddrive and tried to burn a whole new cd. That doesn't work, it starts loading and then says i dont have a mandrake cd in the drive. Any help? Am I able to install from a folder on my FAT32 partition possibly??

There are any number of places that will sell a GPLd set of CDs for $10 or less and you'll have a new distro in a week!!

I understand how that goes:) . I have a credit card in my wallet that I haven't used in a long time (and avoid using if possible), and I also have a 56K dialup. I went to Edmunds Enterprises , set up an order on-line, ran over to the post office with a few dollars and my order number and mailed a money order-- had it in about a week. I didn't have to worry about getting a bad download or a bad burn. Not all the GPL re-sellers are necessarily that prompt, but most will be good and will be prompt.
