Mandrake Fonts

Is there a way to change all mandrake fonts used by the system? Some fonts look good but other (like the open file menu of xmms) look like s**t. How can i tell mandrake to use ms ttf fonts everywhere and anywhere? I am new to linux so if you could point me to a step by step tutorial i'll be very grateful.
