Mandrake and Red Hat interchangeability
How interchangeable are Red Hat and Mandrake? If I read something that talks about Red Hat, can I assume it also applies to Mandrake as the two are (as far as I know) closely related?
|
yes pretty much, there is next to no differences...and if there is it is minor things such as in mandrake your X config file is called XF86Config-4 and in redhat its XF86Config well actually thats one of the only things i can really think of right now hehe...but no overall there isn't really at all a difference in how things work..

As a follow-up, what version of Red Hat is Mandrake 9.1 most closely related to?
|
Red Hat 9
Both kernels are of a similar age and have similar features Red Hat 9 uses a 2.4.20-x kernel Mandrake 9.1 uses a 2.4.21-xx kernel |
