Mandrake 9 install problems
 
I am trying to install Mandrake 9 on an Athlon system.

Everything goes all right up to 'create bootdisk' where the dialog boxes seem to flash on and off and then it tries to start 'configureX' and freezes solid. The help menu at the bottom goes blank and the CD is not being read.

I have tried different VGA resolutions and leaving out the Lan connection...no joy. I have tried the 'rescue' facility and got lost.

Any offers please as how to get this loaded.
