Mandrake 9.2 Slow/Frozen Install
Hi everyone,
totally new to Linux, have just purchased 9.2. Booted from the cd, hit enter went to the text. Seems to go through very very slowly, things like unable to mount, lost interrupt, says succeeded after any failures, just takes forever, an hour today before it gets to checking USB. Then looking for Linux cd-Good News CD found. "Loading program into memory" red bar gets half way across and thats it, left it for ages-obviously frozen!!
Sorry if i'm doing something wrong, but just trying to learn something new.
AMD XP 2200
512 DDR
ATI Radeon 64 DDR
1x20GB-XP O/S
1x40GB-Back Up Drive

Thanks a lot,
