mandrake 9.2 broke

ummmm, well im totally lost (hey theres a new feeling ) i have a new mandrake 9.2 install and everything was fine. i didn't touch anything (other than frozen bubble for HOURS) and now all the unique icons in the "K" menu went to all the same blue folders, the once working shortcuts on the bar (next to the "K" menu) don't know the location anymore, and the same thing with the icons on the desktop. please someone explain...again, i touched nothing! thanks a lot.
