Mandrake 9.2 ADSL Alcatel 330 GNOME Went online once, never connected again???
At the risk of Cross-threading - I posed this question on the Network section and no one answered and I'm getting desperate!
I set up my Softtouch 330 Alcatel ADSL modem on my triple-boot system (98/XP/Linux).
Linux works fine, except that the only time I have ever been online was right after I ran the GNOME setup wizard in the Network Configuration section. It dialed up, worked fine.
The next time I went to Network Config to log on my ISP absolutely nothing happened!
I am a Linux Noob of the highest order, but even I can press 'Connect'! :-)
I wouldn't mind connecting even manually (though have no idea how to do so) except I don't know where GNOME puts all the pppd 'bits', etc or how to logon once I find where they are...
Anyone know what I should be checking or doing?
I am happy to type scripts etc (assuming I can grasp them). I just don't know where to start!
Helllllllpppp!
