Mandrake 9.1 to 10 upgrade

Hi

Can anyone tell me whether going from mandrake 9.1 to 10 is just as simple as inserting the cd and letting it do its own thing??

Basically what I am asking is, does Mandrake come with an automatic upgrader much like Win 98 had to Win2K (upgrade wizard)??

When I installed 9.1, I had a nightmare setting up the video card and i definetly dont want to do the hacking Xconfig file bizzo with packages etc etc??

A simple 'wizard' woudl be awesome.

Thanks

what I did was just completely re-install 10. I had nothing to save (i'm rather new at Linux in general) so I just formatted the drive. MDK10 found everything perfectly, on its own.

I know that with 9.2 to 10 there is an option to upgrade, but i just started fresh. If you don't want to lose your documents, just make a separate partition for home and if you ever want to install again, just leave that partition alone and everything will still be there.

10 should find your video card ok, you can check on mandrake's site to see how well supported it is or the HCL of this forum. 10 Has a lot better support for hardware thats pretty new, i should think it will be alright with your card.
