Mandrake 9.0 Control Center problem

Hello,

I've got the following problem with the Mandrake 9.0 Control Center: it just won't load... When I try to start it, it says "loading...please wait", then after about 10 seconds it stops, without giving any messages. Has anyone else ever exeperienced this problem and is there anything to do about it? (I tried it boot as root and as default user, nothing helps...).

I tried running "drakconf" from a terminal, and I get the following error message:

Sat Feb 8 12:19:42 2003 Gtk-WARNING **: invalid cast from (NULL) pointer to `GtkObject' at /usr/sbin/drakconf line 857.
Can't call method "set_active" on an undefined value at /usr/sbin/drakconf line 423.

Maybe this error message helps you guys...

well, it's on my damn screen right now and it doesn't go away unless i log out in my case.

same deal, Mandrake 9.0 with all but a couple patches

been like it all day, don't know what i did but i noticed it just after i activated samba on my other networked computer. unactivatign it made no difference

any help would be much appreciated

damn i love linux and mandrake is doing damn fine job
