Mandrake 8.2 - can not register boxed set
I bought a Powerpack Mandrake 8.2 Distribution and I am trying to get some support. The site won't let me register the boxed set. I can go into Drakeexpert and set up an account (they never ask for a registration number) but then it won't let me send in an incident because I don't have any 'units'. It says I 'do not appear to be the owner of a Mandrakelinux boxed product'.
I sent them an e-mail Friday but no answer yet. Anybody have this problem? Any way around it? |
That definitly is a problem that would have to be settled by Mandrake of course. Haven't come across any problems like this before, but I would be giving them a call if they aren't answering your emails and you want to register your product with them.

Thanks for the reply. I was trying to find out why my modem didn't work. I figured out that /dev/modem should be /dev/ttsyS0. Once I was able to go into the site via a linux web browser (konquerer) the registration worked without a hitch. hmmm. Maybe my paranoia about Microsoft has some basis. Naah.
