mandrake 10.0 font problem.

mandrake 10.0
i have running KDE3.2

my Desktop icons fonts are having single spacebar .
i mean instead of the filename as "my personal file".
they are having"m y p e r s o n a l f i l e "

they are arranged in this gap.
how does thisgap comes with font.
how to remove this gap.

Look in the kde configuration, contol panel. There you can change your fonts some place.
