I've just installed Mandrake 10.0 official download version.
During the installation I've successfully set up the internet connection (ADSL using PPPoE, on my only network card, eth0).
The internet is working actually, but I've got a problem. During the boot-up while it keeps loading things, it reaches:
Bringing up interface eth0...
Then it stops for a minute or so and then says:
Bringing up interface eth0... Determining IP information for eth0 [FAILED]
Then it checks internet connections to start at boot [OK], and continues loading.
In the end it logs me in, and the internet is working properly.
My only question would be that how could I solve the problem of the one-minute-waiting-period. I tried to uncheck the start at boot checkbox at eth0 in the mandrake control center manage connections dialogue, but than the connection wasn't working.
I had SuSe Linux 9.1 before, and I had no problems with the same configuration.
I would appreciate any help in "newbie-language"

, because I'm quite new to linux...
