Mandrake 10.0 and Sony Clie-25 - Unable to connect!
I've been trying for some time now to connect my Sony Clie TJ-25 to Mandrake 10.0 (using Gnome), but to no avail... Unfortunately there little more to tell, but I've included some info on what I've been able to find:
> When running the "# tail -f /var/log/messages" command and Hotsynching from my Clie, I see the following connection, but nothing else until it disconnects....
Aug 28 10:21:05 kuifje kernel: usb 1-2: new full speed USB device using address 8
Aug 28 10:21:05 kuifje kernel: usbserial 1-2:1.0: Handspring Visor / Palm OS converter detected
Aug 28 10:21:05 kuifje kernel: usb 1-2: Handspring Visor / Palm OS converter now attached to ttyUSB0 (or usb/tts/0 for devfs)
Aug 28 10:21:05 kuifje kernel: usb 1-2: Handspring Visor / Palm OS converter now attached to ttyUSB1 (or usb/tts/1 for devfs)
> When the Clie is trying to Hotsync (and the above is registered), Harddrake shows my Palm Device connection under the 'Scanner' section and also under the 'Unknown/Other' as a Palm Device.
-- The Scanner section shows the following info for the Palm Device:
Vendor: Palm, Inc.
Description: Palm Handheld
Port: libusb:001:005
The 'Run Config' only runs the config tool for scanners... Not really useful when trying to connect a Handheld...
-- The Unknwn/Others section shows the following info for the Palm Device:
Vendor: Palm, Inc.
Bus: USB
Description: Palm Handheld
Module: unknown
Media class:
Unfortunately no Config option...
> I've also run the 'PalmOS Devices' tool for Gnome and set the connection speed to 57.600 bps which I use on my Handheld, tried the Handheld with and without flow control, but it simply fails to connect.
