I have been using mandk 10.0 successfully for about 6 mos on a fujitsu laptop.I now have developed a beeping
sound during boot. At post beeping continues until lilo bootloader login screen comes on and then it stops.I then can choose either XP or LInux with no trouble.Question? does this have someting to do with
lilo or is it hardware related.How do I disable linux
and bootloader so that I can troubleshoot this problem

Is it a series of beeps during the post. If there is a problem that the bios finds, it communicates it using a code of beeps.
