Mandrak 10.0 Community and Soundblaster Live Value

I installed Mandrake 10.0 Community but can't get my Soundcard to work. After I log in, I get the following message:
Sound server infromational message:
Error while initilaizing the sound driver:
can't start sound i/o
The sound server will continue, using the null output device.

I googled for this error, but either didn't find the correct solution or didn't understand it. I need somebody who can lead me through a step by step solution.

Did you try alsaconf?

I tried it, this i the result:

alsaconf
which: no dialog in (/sbin:/usr/sbin:/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin)
which: no whiptail in (/sbin:/usr/sbin:/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin)
Error, dialog or whiptail not found.
