Man pages and my cursors

I have a doubt, when I open a man page and try to move with the cursors of the keyboard only I got a "beep" (X and console) I try to fix it but I don't know what could be.
I must move with space key and it's not confortable, any help?.

Are you using the numeric keypad? Try it with Numlock off.

Nop, that's not the problem.
I think it's something with the kernel.

Do the arrows work in bash? IOW, are you able to use the command history? Do they work under X? I know there is a keyboard tester program, I just don't know what it's called at the moment (I'm not at home). Try 'showkeys'. It should give you the hardware scancodes of every key you press.
