Malformed IPv4 packets fuzzing cause 20% more CPU spike than IPv6 packets fuzzing

I’m performing malformed IPv4 and IPv6 packets fuzzing on my Linux machine and monitoring the CPU and memory usage of Linux machine.
I’ve following observation

CPU % : 50-60%(IPv4) 30-40%(IPv6)
Avg. packets/sec sent: 15433.218(IPv4) 14449.875(IPv6)
Avg. packet size sent: 657.467 bytes(IPv4) 780.383 bytes (IPv6)
Avg. bytes/sec sent: 10146839.070(IPv4) 11276439.045(IPv6)

IPv4 fuzzing causes CPU spike 20% more than IPv6 fuzzing. Can anybody tell what causes this difference.

Could you elaborate on the testing conditions?

Hi

I'm performing a vulnerability testing on my linux machine for that i'm fuzzing the linux machine with IPv4 and IPv6 packets and observing the impact of fuzzing on linux machine by observing CPU % and Memory Usage.
I noticed that in case of IPv4 packets CPU spike goes upto 50-60 %
however IPv6 packets fuzzing results into CPU spike of only 30-40%
and the data rate at which packets were sent shown in above post.
i want to know why the CPU spike is different in case of IPv4 & IPv6.
