Making panel look like Mac OS X panel- Input appreciated!
I've seen alot of screenshots in which the panel at the bottom resembles a Mac OS X panel. How do change the panel to look like that? I think its really neat! I'm new to linux, so a step by step tutorial on how to do this would be great! (I know that alot of people would like to know how to do this once and for all, so plz contribute and help your fellow LQ community)
Some additional info: I'm currently using GNOME in Fedora Core 2. (Don't know if this makes a difference or not, but I thought I might as well provide the info) |
could you please post a link to the screenshot??

The thing is, downloading the theme doesnt make the panel look like that ( I already tried) :)

Anyone out there know how to put this on KDE?
|
KDE Version
If you want a bottom bar in KDE check out ksmoothdock.
http://ksmoothdock.sourceforge.net/ Several different people have packaged it for different distros so just check it out. There are some good superkaramba themes but kmsoothdock takes up the least amount of memory and imo is the nicest. If you want window decorations check out baghira. It's an awesome skin thing that will made kde look like panther or jaguar or whatever. You can google for that too. |
