making halt and reboot available for some kind of user

Hi, I'm using debian etch, I remove gdm to init from startup, so I logon in console mode and then if I want I init the X, but I have a problem:

After shutdown the Xserver if I want to do the halt or reboot commands from my "normal user" I can't, I have to do su, my question is: how can I setup that these commands can be accesible for every user? do I have to configure sudo for this?

This issue has relation with the run levels? because I found that halt is in the 0 level and reboot is in the 6

I think that you can acutally just configure the log in screen to go to a command line based login within gnome. This might be a better solution instead of removing the gdm entry in init.

It sounds like your still using a gui so having the login going to a terminal for speed reasons im assuming. Hope this helps.
