Making Custom Boot ISO

I am trying to create a custom CentOS version to install on my server. To do so, I modified the KickStart script from the current version. Then, to make the DVD bootable, I used the boot image from a previously existing version. I burnt these as an ISO and then onto a DVD. I am NOT able to get the server to boot using the new DVD. Any ideas where I am going wrong here?

I did try the mkisofs on the existing Linux box that i have, but it gets stuck on some file that is not present... any ideas on this one?

I would take the original .iso file,
mount it read/write on a loopback interface,
replace the kickstart file with the one you modified,
then burn the updated .iso to a new disc..

here's a quick how-to
