making a clone of instillation

Because I am very new to Linux and I keep making mistakes. I would like to make a full clone of my Fedora instillation. On a separate drive and update it as I reach a point which I am happy with. Like a last good clone, but on a separate drive. So when I mess up I can simple overwrite the current instillation with my last good clone.

Is there an easy way to do this? I was looking at LVM snapshot but that seems very complicated. I can make an image of my drive on another. Is there an easier way than using a Gparted boot CD?

There is CloneZilla that can be used to make clone of the already installed drive.
